We spent the day today cleaning out the storage unit we’ve had down on the first floor for the last 13 years, maybe even longer (I can only vouch for 13). The landlords, who recently posted a “now leasing” banner on the building, informed us that a new tenant would be taking the space as of the first of the next month, i.e., tomorrow! It was grim, grimy work, but we pulled it off, in large measure thanks to my daughter, who I recruited to put in some “volunteer time.”
In many ways, this was a good thing: we’d been holding on to a lot of stuff in there that we should have disposed of a long time ago, and this clean-out gave us the opportunity to get the stuff we should have kept much better organized.
And now, we look forward to welcoming the new tenants to Veeder Place! This is very good news for the building, all the way around.
