We attended the 2025 Preservation Connecticut Awards ceremony this evening at the New Haven Country Club. The award cited "NINA’s commitment to creating or renovating housing in the Asylum Hill neighborhood." The award recognized the project team, which was NINA Properties, Crosskey Architects, James K. Grant Associates, John Canning & Company, Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office, the City of Hartford Department of Development Services, the Capital Region Development Authority, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the Hartford Insurance Group.
This photo was taken by Ian Christmann, working for Preservation Connecticut. Pictured are, from left to right: Celina Caez, Hartford Department of Development Services, Housing Division; David Corrigan, NINA; Laura Crosskey, Crosskey Architects; Michael Weissbrod, Crosskey Architects; Ken Johnson, NINA; Janet Montanaro, Preservation Connecticut; Garrett Coady, Crosskey Architects; David Goslin, Crosskey Architects; and John Canning, John Canning & Associates.
Not for nothing, 847 Asylum Avenue was on the cover of the ceremony program! And the most interesting note of all: David Goslin worked on the 1991-1994 renovation of the Plimpton House.
