80-82 Hawthorn Street

The final two homes in our Hartford Heritage Homes project, 80 & 82 Hawthorn Street complete our work on the vacant lot that Aetna gave to us. They match the two homes at 86 & 88 Hawthorn Street, and they provide a dramatic entrance into the Nook Farm section of Asylum Hill.

		Trash and recycle carts arrive at 80 Hawthorn Street 1/11/2022 I dropped by 80 Hawthorn today and was very pleased to see that our new trash and recycling carts had arrived. We apparently got very lucky that we put in our request for them when we did: word on the street is that these carts are in increasingly short supply because of national supply chain issues. These carts are for both 80 and 82 Hawthorn.

		Finishing touches 12/7/2021 Some finishing touches on the houses. They’re about to be on the market. Also, some shots of the primary bedroom in 82. Apparently, I have a thing for certain angles in this room, especially on a sunny day, and I was challenged to take a different shot of the room. I think I pulled it off!

I won’t lie, we did make the sidewalk a little worse, especially along South Marshall Street, with our construction equipment, but the sidewalk was a mess long before we got onto the scene. 		So long, Parking Lot! 10/17/2018 We bid a sad (not really!) farewell today to the parking lot at 80 Hawthorn Street, as MC Paving removed the asphalt from the site as a next step toward breaking ground on the new homes here.
Parking at 80 Hawthorn, at least for Now 6/3/2013 At some point in the future, hopefully sooner rather than later, we’re going to re-create this desolate parking lot as a historically accurate, brand new owner-occupied home.
