Walked by the Sigourney Market today, and in the aftermath of yesterday morning’s fire, demolition has begun. The news crew was from Fox 61.

Today, the City of Hartford held its first DominGO! event – the City closed Farmington Avenue off to vehicular traffic and re-created it for the day as a pedestrian and cycling boulevard. The event went well, except that it was just beastly hot and humid today. It was fund, though, to be out on the street and seeing familiar faces and groups of people enjoying themselves at the waystations along the avenue.

Our next door neighbors at 29 Ashley had an interesting picnic spread out for lunch today.
Mostly work on the roof today, but poorly timed for getting good photos.
Up at Liam McGee Park today, The Hartford honored Hazel Ying Lee with a tree planting. The event was led by the Military Community, the Asian Pacific Professionals Network, and the Hartford Environmental Action Team at The Hartford. Speakers included William Tong, Connecticut State Attorney General, and David Robinson, Chief Counsel at The Hartford.
