Page: 78Aetna officially donated its property at 17 Niles Street to Knox Parks today. It’s already a community garden, but Aetna and Knox Parks worked together to ensure that it would continue to serve the neighborhood as a source for locally grown produce.
In among the shots are Mike Zaleski inspecting the garden and the official unveiling of the new sign for the garden.
Plus a couple of shots from the interior.
Inside and out. The magnolia seems like a good omen.
It’s remarkable how nice spring can make any location look good, even if it’s weedy and going to seed. Not sure what possessed me to go up onto the roof of this building, but the views were nice. The roof also let me spy on the work being done at 33 Sargeant Street.
Porch and siding, as the exterior begins to take shape.
The front porch will be one of the defining features of the house.
This group came from The Hartford.
The shot from the third floor is the final day of the “Closet Doors Drying” installation.
With the siding starting to go up, we’re entering a new phase of the project.
