Huntington Street is three blocks long, and only this middle block, on which 102 Huntington Street sits, has a real issue with parking. We’re not exactly sure why. Today, we went out to gather more data.
On the west side, there’s 2-hour parking permitted between 8 AM and 6 PM. There’s no parking to the corner. On both sides, there’s no parking while snow is on the street, or when the City collects trash and cleans streets – on Thursday, in the case of Asylum Hill.
On the east side, parking is entirely unrestricted, except in the case of snow and trash collection.
It seems that this block of Huntington Street would benefit from odd-even parking, or prohibiting parking on one side of the street altogether. This issue will continue to concern us because – oh, wait, can’t quite say that publicly yet!
