We had a group of volunteers in from The Hartford today, for their annual Day of Caring.  They worked on interior demolition and some framing at 285 Farmington.

The alarm is still connected, and it’s sending out a low battery alert – or maybe it’s caught on that the emergency door to the former studios and offices of Hartford Public Access Television, which is off the main stairwell, is not only unlocked but also ajar.  Naturally, I had to go in!

I spent the day with Jonathan Clark today.  We were creating new videos for his walking tour, which I’ll hope to edit and post before the end of the year.  Jonathan has been a longstanding tour guide for NINA, starting back before COVID, when we used to do these tours in person.

His walking tour always included a stop at his house, 102 Huntington Street, where he lived for 44 years, until he donated his house to NINA.  Today the stop was a bit more nostalgic for him, as he had an opportunity to see the work NINA has done to date.
